About The Position

We install cool, cutting edge technology—audio/video systems, security cameras, access control systems, and network cabling. If you’re good with tools, like working with your hands, enjoy solving problems, and want to build a career in technology, we want to talk. We are seeking a motivated AV / Low Voltage Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with experience in audio/video installation, structured cabling, electronic security, or related construction/technical trades. We are willing to train the right person with the right attitude and work ethic. This is a hands-on role working in commercial environments installing and servicing low voltage systems.

Requirements

  • Mechanically inclined and comfortable using hand and power tools
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders / in ceilings / in various job site conditions
  • Ability and willingness to travel overnight as needed
  • Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of background checks, motor vehicle record review, and/or drug screening, where permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in one or more of the following is preferred: Audio/video installation, Structured cabling / data cabling, Video surveillance camera systems, Access control systems, Burglar / intrusion alarm systems, IT / networking / telecom field work, Electrical or low voltage construction work
  • Experience with commercial AV systems
  • Experience terminating and testing network cabling
  • Experience with access control or video surveillance systems
  • Experience with system programming or configuration
  • OSHA certification or other trade certifications

Responsibilities

  • Install audio/video systems, including video walls, displays, speakers, microphones, amplifiers, and control systems
  • Install and terminate structured cabling, including Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, and other low voltage wiring
  • Install security systems, including surveillance cameras and access control systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, floorplans, and wiring diagrams
  • Mount equipment such as TVs, speakers, cameras, racks, and other devices
  • Build and dress equipment racks and cable pathways neatly and professionally
  • Test, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues in the field
  • Work with team members, project managers, and office staff to complete projects efficiently
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles
  • Keep a clean, safe work environment
