About The Position

Under direct supervision, the Audio Production Student Assistant helps maintain Coyote Radio’s production-room audio equipment and assists with recording, editing, producing, and uploading promotional, public-service, and commercial messages. The role also works with Coyote Radio & Advertising staff to service clients and maintain client relations. The student is required to keep regularly scheduled office hours at the radio station, check messages, respond to emails and other correspondence, and communicate with students and staff. Other duties may be assigned by the Director or Lead.

This is a part-time, temporary, seasonal, on-campus student position at California State University, San Bernardino. Work may occasionally include evenings or weekends to support departmental activities, special events, and other university functions; schedules may vary according to business needs. The position is not eligible for telecommuting, and employees must reside in California upon hire. The anticipated hiring range is $16.90 per hour.

Requirements

• Be admitted or registered as a CSUSB student.
• Maintain a semester and cumulative GPA of at least 2.0.
• Be enrolled in at least half-time units at CSUSB: 6 undergraduate units or 3 graduate units. International students must be enrolled full-time: 12 undergraduate units or 6 graduate units.
• Be eligible to work in the United States and provide a Social Security card for payroll requirements.
• Ability to learn and perform assigned work and follow oral instructions.
• Ability to work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students.
• Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
• Ability to read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
• Basic experience with Adobe Audition audio recording software.
• Basic experience working with audio mixers, microphones, and amplifiers.
• Good people skills, ability to work well with others, and basic teaching ability.
• Possession of a valid driver's license may be required.
• Satisfactory completion of a background check, including a criminal records check, may be required.
