About The Position

The Newman Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Denver is currently seeking part-time lead audio associates to assist with the execution of events at the Newman Center. Lead Audio Associates are responsible for assisting the Production Coordinator- Audio with preparation and execution of technical requirements for Newman Center events. This is a non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years experience working with theatrical/performance audio systems, audio consoles, and wireless audio systems
Ability to read audio paperwork, e.g. stage diagrams, input lists, etc.
As required for specific roles needed on an event-by-event basis

Nice To Haves

5+ Years experience with theatrical/performance audio systems, audio consoles, monitor engineering
Experience with setting up and programming Digital Audio Network (DANTE)

Responsibilities

Support the Newman Center Production Coordinator- Audio with backstage event operations.
Assist the Audio Production Coordinator with preproduction and day-of-show tasks for large events
Serve as the lead audio personnel when the Audio Production Coordinator is not available for events
Provide excellent customer service for all Newman Center participants and patrons.
Recognize and respond effectively and efficiently to emergencies.
Maintain a clean and safe environment.
Able to work both individually and as part of a team.
Expertise in area of specificity and able to maintain all required certifications and licensures as they pertain to the role.
