The Stage Operations Supervisor’s primary responsibility is the planning, preparation, and facilitation of all stage operations elements of Festival programming in the Ted Shawn Theatre (TST), Doris Duke Theatre (DDT), Henry J. Leir Stage (HJL), as well as ancillary spaces across the campus. This includes but is not limited to managing the safe and efficient installation and use of all rigging, flooring, staging, seating, soft goods, scenery, and props. During the pre-season they assist the production management teams in communicating with visiting companies to clarify and confirm all of their production requirements. During the Festival they supervise the Assistant Stage Operations Supervisor and 2 Stage Operations Technicians. The Stage Operations Supervisor also works closely and collaboratively with the production management teams and Stage Carpenters to ensure they have the information, equipment, training, and labor necessary to successfully support all activity in their venues.
