About The Position

Production Operations at Televisa Univision is looking for an Audio 2 Operator to join our team! Responsibilities include playing back music for live shows, proper microphone and IFB placement and proficient in the use of all broadcast equipment and technology within operating areas—this includes but is not limited to Novation Launchpad, microphone and IFB signal flows, wireless PL systems, mix minus, intercom devices and all associated hardware and software, broadcast routers, remote “crash cart,” and trunking procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum Associates Degree or equivalent college degree
• Minimum 1-year experience on live shows
• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) required
• Knowledge of sound, music, and acoustics
• Knowledge of various types of microphones, IFBS, receivers, and transmitters
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows operating systems
• Ability to multi-task and react quickly during daily broadcasts
• On-call availability, and flexibility to work days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed and without advance notice.
• May be required to work on site for extended periods of time to provide coverage in special circumstances, such as, during tropical storm/hurricane.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to use playback software/hardware such as Live/Novation Launchpad
• Work directly with A-1
• Upkeep and use of microphones, backstage monitors, communication systems and audio systems
• Monitor frequency of microphones, IFBs (Interruptible Fold Back) and RTS boxes
• Change all batteries on microphones, IFB’s and RTS boxes
• Position microphones on all talents and guests
• Distribute communication boxes and is responsible for their return
