About The Position

This entry-level position supports auction operations for Trading Card Games (TCG), non-sports cards, manga, and related collectibles. The Auction Operations Assistant is responsible for handling and preparing consigned property throughout the auction process, including unpacking, sorting, organizing, labeling, and entering item information into the company database. This position also assists with imaging coordination, inventory management, order fulfillment, and client pickups following auctions.

Requirements

  • One or more years of related operations, inventory, fulfillment, collectibles, or administrative experience preferred
  • Interest in or familiarity with TCG, non-sports cards, manga, or related collectibles preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Outlook and Excel
  • Strong organizational, data-entry, and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle collectible property carefully and follow established inventory procedures
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Unpack, sort, organize, and label TCG, non-sports card, manga, and related collectible consignments
  • Accurately enter item and inventory information into the company database
  • Organize property by auction, consignment, category, and processing status
  • Ensure items are properly prepared and submitted for imaging according to auction deadlines
  • Handle collectible cards, manga, and related property carefully to preserve their condition
  • Assist with inventory tracking and the movement of property between departments
  • Identify and report discrepancies, missing information, or potential condition concerns
  • Support department staff with additional auction preparation and operational projects as needed
  • Retrieve and prepare purchased items for shipping or client pickup
  • Verify items against invoices and shipping documentation to ensure order accuracy
  • Package orders carefully and in accordance with established handling and shipping procedures
  • Process and track items remaining onsite until payment or shipping arrangements are completed
  • Maintain accurate records of property movement and order status
  • Inform supervisors promptly of discrepancies, damaged items, or fulfillment issues
  • Assist clients professionally during scheduled property pickups
