About The Position

Legal Services of North Florida (LSNF) is seeking an Attorney to join their civil practice. LSNF is a non-profit law firm dedicated to providing free legal services to low-income and vulnerable individuals across North Florida. With over 130 employees in eight offices, LSNF handles more than 9,700 cases annually, focusing on civil law matters such as family law, guardianship, disaster recovery, veterans' legal services, victims' advocacy, public benefits, and real property law. The firm values work-life balance and offers opportunities for attorneys to work collaboratively with legal professionals in civil litigation and administrative law. LSNF also engages in significant litigation, including impact and appellate work, and conducts community education and outreach through mobile response units to remove barriers to legal access. This specific position is located in the Panama City Office.

Requirements

  • Member of The Florida Bar in good standing.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Public interest or legal aid experience.
  • Candidates with recently passed the Bar exam but do not have attorney experience can expect an entry salary of $73,000.00.
  • Candidates with ten years of experience or more can expect salary range of $93,400.00 or higher.
  • Candidates with 20 years of experience or more can expect salary range of $113,900.00 or higher.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently and as part of a team to obtain positive results for clients.
  • Focus on civil law matters such as family law, guardianship, disaster recovery, veterans' legal services, victims' advocacy, public benefits, and real property law.
  • Collaborate with superior legal professionals in civil litigation and administrative law to strategize and advocate on behalf of clients.
  • Engage in significant litigation, including large scale impact work and appellate work.
  • Carry out community education and outreach with mobile response units.
