About The Position
Sodoro Law Group is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join our defense practice. This role may be structured as full-time, part-time or of counsel and is ideal for an attorney seeking flexibility while maintaining an active, meaningful litigation caseload. The ideal candidate will bring 3+ years of experience in insurance defense, workers’ compensation, and/or general liability matters and be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in Kansas and Missouri.
Requirements
- 3+ years of litigation experience in Insurance Defense, Workers’ Compensation, and/or General Liability
- Licensed in Kansas or Missouri (both preferred; willingness to obtain reciprocal licensure required if applicable)
- Strong motion practice and writing skills
- Ability to independently manage deadlines and caseload
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
Responsibilities
- Manage defense litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Analyze complex legal and factual issues and develop strategic defense strategies
- Draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and discovery responses
- Conduct depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations
- Prepare witnesses and evidence for hearings, trial, and ADR
- Communicate strategy, risk analysis, and recommendations to clients
- Collaborate with partners, clients, and claims professionals
