About The Position

We are seeking an Attorney to prepare and advocate for attorney-fee motions in litigation matters. The role involves developing well-supported filings, managing case materials, and communicating with clients and legal teams. The attorney's work will help clients understand fee-related issues and support clear, effective court submissions. The position is based in Los Angeles, California, and may be performed remotely or onsite. Applicants must be licensed in California and have 3–10+ years of relevant law-firm experience. Compensation is $150,000–$180,000 plus benefits.

Requirements

Attorney qualification and law-office experience.
California law license.
3–10+ years of relevant law-firm experience.
Strong legal writing, research, drafting, case-management, and client-communication skills.
Demonstrated experience in litigation, legal motion preparation, procedural law, contract drafting, and general or commercial litigation.

Nice To Haves

Personal injury case experience is relevant.
Employment law case experience.
Experience with court depositions.
Knowledge of personal injury, employment, estate planning, environmental, immigration, landlord-tenant, family, securities, workers’ compensation, tribal, or patent law.
Familiarity with legal counsel, legal administrative work, and legal negotiation.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and refine fee motions, supporting declarations, and related legal documents.
Conduct statutory, procedural, and other legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw; verify authorities and deadlines.
Organize case records, deposition materials, and evidence.
Support litigation strategy, trial preparation, and court appearances.
Communicate with clients, counsel, and court personnel.
Apply negotiation and legal advocacy skills as appropriate.
