About The Position
This Attorney Supervisor position presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced attorney to represent the Division of Funeral, Cemetery & Consumer Services, one of twelve divisions housed within the Department of Financial Services. This role allows the ideal candidate to be at the center of some of the Department’s most complex and interesting legal, regulatory, and legislative matters, as well as the opportunity to develop and lead a talented team of attorneys. You will be responsible for managing your team, providing legal guidance to the Division, practicing before a professional board, litigating in state and administrative tribunals, drafting legal documents, and participating in rulemaking and legislative bill drafting and analysis.
Requirements
- A Juris Doctor (JD) Degree is required.
- Admittance to the Florida Bar.
- Two (2) years of legal experience.
Nice To Haves
- Applicants with experience practicing before a professional board.
- Applicants with administrative law experience.
- Applicants with supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and either Westlaw or Lexis/Nexis legal research tools.
