About The Position

National General, a part of The Allstate Corporation, is seeking an experienced Attorney-Repped Bodily Injury Consultant for their Extended Handler Bodily Injury (EHBI) Casualty Unit. This role involves investigating and resolving complex attorney-represented bodily injury claims, including confirming facts of loss, determining coverage, liability, and damages, and negotiating settlements. The position also includes mentoring junior team members to ensure consistent, high-quality claim handling. The ideal candidate is comfortable with technology, adept at juggling multiple priorities, highly organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and possesses effective communication skills. Experience handling AL injury claims is highly desirable.

• Must terminate all existing insurance license appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment.
• Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team.

Responsibilities

• Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle for complex cases
• Applies advanced understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department
• Handles investigation regarding all aspects of complex auto claims (coverage, liability and damages) with the exercise discretion and independence within increased level of authority
• For claims involving injuries (if handled), learns how to review, evaluate, and negotiate moderate to complex injury claims
• Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle and understanding other potential property damage
• Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills
