This position involves independently preparing and trying cases related to child support matters under the general supervision of the CSEA Legal Section Chief and CSEA Senior Attorneys or other administrative superiors. The role requires attending pre-trial conferences and court hearings, negotiating out-of-court settlements, drafting legal documents and pleadings, taking depositions, preparing and arguing appeals, and reviewing cases for the feasibility of court or other legal action. The attorney will also conduct legal research, provide legal advice to agency staff, and respond to inquiries from government officials, legislators, and the general public.
