This position is responsible for independently managing complex appellate cases, including conducting comprehensive legal research, analyzing trial records, drafting persuasive appellate briefs, and presenting oral arguments and motions for new trial before Georgia courts. The Assistant Public Defender 4 serves as a senior-level attorney and is expected to exercise sound legal judgment while handling challenging and high-impact appellate matters. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding legal research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and meet strict filing deadlines. Performs other related duties as assigned.
