About The Position
District Medical Group, Inc., (DMG), a large multi-specialty faculty practice group is seeking an inpatient Attending Psychiatrist for our adult inpatient program to staff Valleywise Behavioral Health Center Maryvale. The ideal candidate must enjoy working with hospitalized, seriously mentally ill patients. Caseload is 10-11 patients and duties include collaboration with a psychiatric nurse practitioner and teaching of rotating medical students, with faculty appointment available to the Creighton University School of Medicine in Phoenix and the University of Arizona College of Medicine, both in Phoenix.
Requirements
- Board certified or in the process of Board certification.
- Possess an Arizona medical license prior to beginning employment.

Responsibilities
- Staffing the adult inpatient program at Valleywise Behavioral Health Center Maryvale.
- Working with hospitalized, seriously mentally ill patients.
- Managing a caseload of 10-11 patients.
- Collaborating with a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
- Teaching rotating medical students.
