About The Position

Nicklaus Children's Hospital, a 325-bed freestanding children's hospital and ACS-verified Level 1 pediatric trauma center, and Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists, the physician multispecialty group practice of Nicklaus Children's Health System, has an exceptional opportunity for a BC/BE fellowship-trained pediatric cardiac anesthesiologist. The ideal candidate will be Board Certified in General Anesthesiology (ABA) and BC/BE in Pediatric Anesthesiology (ABP). Pediatric anesthesiologists at Nicklaus Children’s provide care for a full range of cases from neonates to young adults. Wide case mix, including those of the highest complexity, in fields of pediatric surgery, orthopedics, urology, neurosurgery, otolaryngology, craniofacial surgery, ENT, cardiac and other surgical specialties. Providers practice on the main campus in addition to an ambulatory surgery center. Teaching residents and fellows is encouraged. Nicklaus Children's Health System opened the Kenneth C. Griffin Surgical Tower in September 2024. This five-story, 131,000-square-foot facility elevates the hospital’s surgical capabilities, combining a patient-centered environment with cutting-edge technology. The Griffin Surgical Tower, located in the heart of the campus, features state-of-the-art operating rooms equipped with the latest technology and surgical teams. Employed staff benefit from affiliations with our educational partner, Florida International University (FIU). This position includes an appointment to the Faculty of FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. Requirements

  • Board Certified in General Anesthesiology (ABA)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Anesthesiology (ABP)
  • Fellowship-trained in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology
