About The Position

The Attended Donation Center Attendant is responsible for providing assistance in the dock area with loading, unloading, and moving merchandise, and fulfilling the mission statement. This role involves working with individuals who have disabilities and/or barriers to employment, demonstrating a positive role model attitude, and showing commitment to Goodwill's mission. Key proficiencies include product knowledge, oral communication, ethics, customer service, general math, reading, writing, and safety awareness. The attendant will answer the donation door, greet customers, unload donations, sort donations for storage or store delivery, move materials in and out of the warehouse, operate the trash compactor, and clean the work area.

Responsibilities

Answer donation door and greet customers.
Unload donations.
Sort donations for in-house storage and load material for store deliveries.
Move materials in or out of the warehouse.
Operate trash compactor.
Clean work area.
Open facility and ensure all things are in place to manage business.
Locate unloaded material in proper places in warehouse.
Load material for store deliveries and make deliveries.
Move trash to compactor as needed.
Clean dock area during the last 7 minutes of the workday.
Adhere to all safety policies and report violations.
Support the mission statement and activities of other departments.
Support the accessibility of services and facilities for persons with disabilities and barriers to employment.
Adhere to all ethical standards and confidentiality of records.
Perform other duties as assigned.
