About The Position

Alisal, a luxury 10,500 private acre working Ranch and Resort in the heart of Santa Barbara Wine Country is seeking an experienced and service-oriented Attendant in Housekeeping. This position entails providing mostly AM and occasionally PM service to each guest unit and public area as assigned according to Alisal Housekeeping Standards.

Requirements

  • Must be able to present proof of identity and legal right to work in the United States post offer, pre-employment.
  • Conditional offer subject to criminal background check.
  • Open availability to accommodate varying schedules as well as able to work on weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull minimum 50 lbs.
  • Able to work on site and to stand, sit, walk, and move continuously for duration of shift.
  • Ability to work outside, indoors, in varying temperatures.

  • Prior Room Attendant/ Housekeeping experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Checking public restrooms and cleaning as needed, restocking supplies and removing trash.
  • Loading and operating electric utility carts with supplies to provide service.
  • Performing all aspects of room cleanliness, including turning down of beds according to the number of guests in room.
  • Removing towels and trash.
  • Replacing fresh towels and linens.
  • Wiping the sink areas and tidying up bathrooms.
  • Refilling amenities and providing special requests, by delivering rollaways, cribs, wood, starter logs, etc., when Houseperson is unavailable.
  • Reporting any food trays left outside or dirty dishes inside room to appropriate departments.
  • Converting king beds to twins or the reverse when requested by guest and/or Front Desk personnel.
  • Providing support to other attendants in cleaning guest units as scheduled or assigned by supervisor.
  • Reporting any maintenance related problems, damaged or missing items.
  • Assisting PM Housepersons with areas after cleaning or turndown duties are concluded as required or assigned.
  • Emptying utility carts at the end of the shift and returning to proper storage; plugging to battery charger.
  • Documenting all items left behind in guest units by departing guests (Lost and Found) and placing in appropriate storage area.
  • Returning all supplies to Housekeeping, turning out lights and securing units and buildings as designated.
