About The Position

Shrine Catholic High School and Academy is seeking an educational professional for a full-time Attendance Manager/Academy Office Manager for the 2026-27 school year. Shrine Catholic High School and Academy is known for its dynamic community, collaborative and cohesive faculty, and its supportive administration. There are approximately 400 students at the High School and Academy, allowing this Assistant to develop meaningful relationships with students and Staff. The students are well-rounded, most involved in multiple activities such as performing arts, extracurricular clubs, as well as athletics. Shrine Catholic High School & Academy is located in Royal Oak, MI at the corner of 13 Mile Rd and Woodward Avenue. Shrine Catholic Schools have been providing the highest quality Catholic education to the surrounding communities since 1938. The Administrative Assistant/Attendance Manager oversees day-to-day office operations and visitors. Works closely with the Registrar/HS Office Manager to ensure appropriate priorities and procedures are maintained, as it relates to students, staff, parents and visitors.

  • Google Suite proficiency required
  • Must meet all requirements established by the Archdiocese of Detroit for employment

  • Prior school employment experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily student attendance records and provide administrative support to the principal, teachers, and staff.
  • Maintain accurate student records, attendance data, and maintain student CA-60 files.
  • Assist students throughout the school day by addressing academic, personal needs, and administration of medication as needed.
  • Coordinate school communications, weekly newsletters, and announcements.
  • Create and manage permission digital forms, and provide support for school-wide events, meetings, activities, and field trips.
  • Coordinate & schedule Parent/Teacher Conferences twice a year and Freshman Registration appointments via PTCFast.
  • Organize and prepare for the 8th grade graduation ceremony. Some responsibilities include organizing and printing of graduation brochures, diploma certificates, recognition certificates, and coordinating with the Basilica to reserve the date, seating, music, slide-show, etc., for the ceremony.
  • Oversee the Academy copier and provide basic upkeep and place paper orders for the Academy.
  • Collaborate with administrators and teachers to ensure efficient school operations.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills in a fast-paced educational environment.
  • Maintains school and office supplies and places orders as necessary
  • Student day-to-day support in the Academy office for emergencies
  • Works with Principal, as needed, organize student correspondences and communicate with parents
