Responsibilities

Analyze attendance data for eligible students to identify early warning signs of chronic absenteeism.
Use NHA's tiered attendance model to determine the appropriate level of support for each student.
Maintain accurate records of attendance trends and interventions.
Collaborate bi-weekly with leadership and/or in team meetings and calendarize in O3s.
Communicate regularly with school leadership, teachers, and support staff to share attendance insights, align on student support strategies, and ensure coordinated intervention efforts.
Identify and implement effective attendance strategies for individual students and student groups.
Support Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention planning and regular progress monitoring.
Design and execute school-wide (Tier 1) attendance initiatives, including incentives, celebrations, and awareness efforts.
Reinforce a consistent, school-wide message on the importance of attendance.
Conduct regular outreach to parents and guardians—including same-day outreach for student absences—through phone calls, home visits, school meetings, and digital platforms such as the NHA App.
Communicate the academic importance of consistent attendance respectfully and supportively.
Develop family-centered improvement plans in collaboration with families.
Prioritize frequent, personalized communication with parents and caregivers for Grades K–3, reinforcing that consistent attendance lays the foundation for key skills.
Emphasize student ownership, goal-setting, and celebrating student-led improvement alongside continued family engagement for Grades 4–12.
Maintain accurate, real-time records of all student contacts, interventions, and outcomes using myNHA and other provided tools.
Participate in data review with school leadership to assess caseload progress and adjust strategies.
Promote attendance awareness through school campaigns and incentive programs.
Build community relationships that expand options for student recognition and rewards.
Facilitate or support learning opportunities for eligible parents and guardians.
Strengthen communication and trust between families and the school community.
