About The Position
The Freelance Firm is a national network of experienced, high-level, freelance attorneys and paralegals providing remote on-demand support for legal projects. Due to increased demand, we are seeking a qualified, experienced, and dedicated Atlanta-based Immigration Attorney for in-person appearances in various immigration proceedings, primarily Master Calendar Hearings. A weekly Hearing Calendar will be shared, allowing the attorney to select hearings that fit their schedule.
Requirements
- Licensed in good standing to practice law in Georgia.
- Ability to attend in-person hearings in the Atlanta area.
- Understanding of local rules and court systems.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and be well organized.
- Self-starter and able to work independently.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Immigration law.
Responsibilities
- Attend in-person immigration proceedings, primarily Master Calendar Hearings, in the Atlanta area.
- Select hearings from a weekly shared Hearing Calendar that align with personal schedule.
- Understand and navigate local rules and court systems.
- Meet deadlines and maintain organization.
- Work independently as a self-starter.
