About The Position

This position involves assisting with the setup, operation, and cleanup of athletics camps. The staff member will be responsible for preparing facilities and equipment, supervising campers to ensure a safe and positive environment, and supporting coaches and camp directors with instruction and daily operations. Key duties include monitoring camper behavior, maintaining attendance records, responding to incidents, and serving as a positive role model. Administrative and operational tasks may also be assigned.

Requirements

• Employment will require a criminal background check.
• If you have prior work history within the last seven years with Universities of Wisconsin or State of Wisconsin agencies, a personnel file review check for employee misconduct.
• References will be asked to answer questions regarding employee misconduct, sexual violence and sexual harassment.
• Employment is subject to federal laws that require verification of identity and legal right to work in the United States as required by the Immigration Reform and Control Act.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup, operation, and cleanup of athletics camps, including preparing facilities and equipment.
• Supervise campers throughout camp activities to ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive environment.
• Support coaches and camp directors with instruction, drills, games, and daily camp operations.
• Monitor camper behavior and reinforce camp rules, expectations, and sportsmanship standards.
• Maintain accountability for camper attendance, whereabouts, and overall well-being.
• Respond appropriately to injuries, incidents, or concerns and report them to camp leadership.
• Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating professionalism, enthusiasm, and leadership.
• Perform administrative and operational tasks as assigned to support the successful execution of camp programs.
