About The Position

This job is only available to students who qualify for Work-Study. The student would be teaching swim lessons to adults. The position is in the Athletics Department, located at the Alumni Gym Pool. The supervisor is Olivia Parham. Shifts are typically evenings, approximately 3 hours per week, with potential for more hours with private lessons. The pay rate is $9.70/hr. There are 4 positions available.

Requirements

• Must have prior swim lesson experience whether it be adults or kids
• Being able to swim for extended period of time
• Good communication skills

Responsibilities

• Help create curriculum to teach swim lessons
• Be in the water helping teach basic swimming skills
• Be able to work with a range of skills and range of people
• Communication with supervisor, class, and fellow instructors
