About The Position

Ensures compliance with the established athletic facility use policies of the Parks Department. Monitors use of facilities and reports any issues to the Parks Director. Acts as the primary contact and spokesperson to youth and adult athletic groups looking to utilize Fort Bend County Park facilities. Mediates and resolves facility use disputes between teams and coaches regarding reservations. Interacts with school districts, higher education, service organizations, community churches, etc. for community support of Parks Programs. Solicits and record feedback on field and gymnasium use. Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Sports Management, Public Relations or related field.
  • 5 years of job related experience
  • Good computer and typing skills; strong Windows, Word and Excel skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills; good interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees, and elected officials and outside agencies.
  • Ability to complete assigned projects in a timely manner; strong organizational skills.
