Grand Canyon is seeking an Athletics Development Coordinator.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Must travel both locally and domestically which requires overnights and weekends.
  • Must have valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background investigation.
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare philanthropic research, including background reports, sector research, and prospect biographies.
  • Facilitate proactive research initiatives as needed.
  • Produce high quality proposals, reports and other cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship materials as needed.
  • In conjunction with Director of Development, establish annual goals for visits, solicitations and dollars raised.
  • Develop strategies, prepare proposals and materials including written documentation for accurate gift recording, acknowledgments, and reporting.
  • Consistently enter information into GCU’s CRM database to maintain integrity of information relevant to assigned prospects.
  • Engages with prospects and donors at GCU events.
  • Record contacts in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Work collaboratively with units across GCU athletics to match donor interests with projects that are approved, strategic priorities.
  • Work with gift officers to develop and maintain an effective moves management strategy for moving prospective and current donors in an appropriate and timely fashion toward solicitation and closure.
  • Manages a portfolio of 250+ annual and mid-level prospects; managing a Top 25 philosophy for proposal asks. Target gifts amount $1,000 to $10,000.
  • Support the entering and tracking of all activities, actions, call reports and deadlines in requisite tracking systems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
