About The Position
The Athletics Assistant serves in a variety of ways to help make Boyce College Athletics and HRC Intramural events run excellently and smoothly. This role involves assisting with game day operations, intramural sports, and ensuring a positive and safe environment for participants and attendees.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in athletics is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Works the ticket table and handles cash.
- Shags balls during warm-ups and games.
- Helps set up and take down Boyce Athletics Events.
- Attends all scheduled CPR trainings.
- Helps work Fall Festival.
- Attends staff meetings led by the Game Day Manager.
- Assists in refereeing intramural sports and Boyce Athletics games.
- Assists in scorekeeping.
- Explains and enforces Health and Recreation Center policies and procedures when necessary.
- Sweeps the gym floor prior to games.
- Instructs guests in proper performance mechanics of an activity to minimize health risks and maximize performance.
- Sets up and tears down for intramural sports and Boyce sports.
- Attends intramural program meetings, CPR training, CPP training, locker clean-out, and in-service meetings as scheduled.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
