About The Position

Summit Orthopedics is seeking an Athletic Trainer to provide clinical support for quality orthopedic care and treatment. The Athletic Trainer works with physicians and advanced practice providers and supports local high school and community partnerships. This full-time position supports trauma physicians and their teams and includes floating to other clinics and outreach locations as needed. The schedule is Monday through Friday, either 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; the schedule may change based on team or clinic needs. The primary location is the Woodlake Clinic, with flexibility to work at other Summit campuses. Other likely primary sites include Eden Prairie and Lakeville, and the role may include coverage at Summit outreach sites or athletic events. Summit Orthopedics provides orthopedic services across the Twin Cities, Greater Minnesota, and Western Wisconsin. Responsibilities

Room patients, obtain patient health histories, and perform initial and secondary assessments.
Document patient information and care provided in the patient's medical record.
Complete forms and documentation needed by patients, employers, or insurance companies.
Assess post-operative wounds and provide standardized wound-care instructions.
Provide standardized patient education, verbally or in writing.
Serve as a liaison between patients or families and physicians, and answer orthopedic-related questions as a resource to clinical staff.
Travel to and provide coverage at Summit outreach clinical locations and indoor or outdoor athletic events as assigned.
Clean and stock patient examination rooms.
