About The Position

Under the direction of the Head Athletic Trainer, this position will provide athletic healthcare services for all varsity level student-athletes. In close cooperation with the Head Athletic Trainer, Athletic Training Staff, Team Physicians, and Health Services, this role will assist in the overall service component to Athletics that includes: Prevention, Clinical Evaluation and Diagnosis, Immediate Care Treatment, Rehabilitation & Reconditioning, Organization & Administration, and Professional Responsibility. All staff positions on campus support students and will be involved in student-focused activities.

Requirements

  • Entry level Master’s degree in Athletic Training or related field or a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field and two years of experience as a certified athletic trainer.
  • BOCATC Certification.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of NH.

Nice To Haves

  • Post Professional Master’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field.
  • Experience in collegiate athletic medicine.
  • CPR Instructor.

Responsibilities

  • Provide all aspects of student-athlete health care focused on evidenced-based medicine.
  • Prevention and Health Promotion (injury, illness).
  • Clinical Evaluation and Diagnosis.
  • Immediate Care, Acute emergent care.
  • Therapeutic Intervention to include Treatment, Rehabilitation & Reconditioning.
  • Organization & Administration to include daily EMR.
  • Professional responsibility to include maintaining licensure and certification and being current on athlete health care.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer, such as inventory, CPR instructor for athletic staff, and online student athletic medical records system super user (Sportsware).
