About The Position
The Anderson Clinic is currently seeking a certified Athletic Trainer to work with a busy Primary Care Sports Medicine physician. This position requires excellent communication and customer service skills. The vast majority of time will be spent interacting with patients and the physician.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Current certification
- Valid Virginia state licensure, or eligible
- Must have own transportation
Nice To Haves
- Experience preferred, especially with casting, bracing, drawing injections, prepping for ultrasound, etc.
Responsibilities
- Initial patient assessment and evaluation, including vitals and detailed patient history
- Presentation of findings to physician
- Scheduling additional test, procedures or appointments
- Patient education including pre- and post-procedure instructions
- Brace fitting, casting and splinting
