About The Position

This Athletic Trainer is an exciting opportunity at MultiCare, responsible for providing athletic training services to athletes and active individuals. As you assist in the development of strength and conditioning programs for athletes and active individuals, provide education in sports medicine and engage in marketing strategy deployment, you will be able to engage in a dynamic range of work functions every day while supporting athletic development within the community.

Requirements

WA State Athletic Trainer licensure
Current BLS Certification
Minimum three (3) years of experience in sports medicine, including community outreach and clinic outpatient services
Experience in marketing and new program development in community outreach at secondary school level and sports medicine services

Responsibilities

Provide athletic training outreach services for community school athletes at their respective locations, including practices and games
Provide development and implementation of on-site athletic training services in community schools and area events
Provide documentation of athlete care provided, including daily records, progress notes, and other correspondence necessary for athletic training management
Report on athlete progress through written progress notes and oral reports to nurses, physicians and other appropriate members of the health care team
Work under the supervision of a Team physician/athlete’s physician in community outreach services
Educate athletes, parents, coaches and administrators on injury management and prevention
