About The Position

This position involves the coverage of assigned athletic events, rendering treatment plans outlined by a physician for injured athletes, and assessing injured athletes with proper referral to a physician when necessary. The role requires communication with parents, coaches, athletic directors, team orthopedists, and therapists, as well as documentation of evaluations and treatments. The Athletic Trainer will also maintain proper equipment and supplies for event coverage and contribute to a positive work environment within the Sports Medicine team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Athletic Training
  • NATA BOC certified
  • Eligible for Alabama state licensure
  • Basic Life Support and AED Certification
