About The Position

Assesses injuries and manages comprehensive treatment programs to prevent injury and rehabilitate athletes. This position will support cast applications, bracing, therapy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field
• No experience required
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) required within 90 day of employment.
• Athletic Trainer - Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC)
• Licensed Athletic Trainer - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) (if working in Illinois)
• Athletic Trainer - Missouri Division of Professional Registration (if working in Missouri)
• Athletic Trainer - Oklahoma Medical Board (if working in Oklahoma)
• Letter of Acknowledgment of Receipt of Application for Athletic Trainer - Oklahoma Medical Board (if working in Oklahoma)
• Athletic Trainer - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (if working in Wisconsin)

Nice To Haves

• Support orthopedic physicians.

Responsibilities

• Develops conditioning programs for injured and non-injured athletes to ensure safety in the program design incorporating nutrition plans and schedules customized to meet individual athlete needs.
• Designs and implements comprehensive training or rehabilitation programs to prevent injury and illness among athletes.
• Evaluates and manages injuries. Maintains medical documentation on each athlete and acts as a liaison between the physician and the athlete.
• Prepares athletes for practice or competition based on team schedules, applicable regulations and guidelines, and in conjunction with physician and sports performance staff.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
