About The Position

Temple Faculty Physicians, the academic practice plan of Temple Health, is comprised of over 500 employed physicians across various subspecialties. They are dedicated to providing clinical care and education within Temple's healthcare system. This role specifically assists physicians, athletic trainers, orthopedic surgeons, APPs, and supportive staff in outpatient orthopedic surgery offices and clinics, ensuring patient needs are met from arrival to departure and supporting the overall patient experience. Responsibilities include preparing charts, managing testing approvals, assisting with procedure/surgery scheduling, contributing to regulatory readiness, inventory management, and responding to patient calls.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in an accredited Athletic Training program
• 2 years of orthopedic experience in a healthcare setting
• Certified Athletic Trainer
• PA Athletic Trainer License
• Basic Life Support Certification

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree in an accredited Athletic Training program

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians, other athletic trainers, orthopedic surgeons, APPs and supportive staff with patient care in the Orthopedic Surgery outpatient offices and clinics.
• Follows patient from arrival to departure.
• Ensures patient and physician needs met to support patient experience.
• Prepares charts for visits, testing approvals.
• Assists in procedure / surgery scheduling.
• Contributes to clinical regulatory readiness.
• Inventory/stocking.
• Patient phone call responses.
• Other duties as assigned including of subordinate positions.
