The Exercise Physiologist assists participants in rehabilitation programs in achieving their optimal functional capacity through exercise, education, and risk factor modification. This role provides appropriate assessments, interventions, and evaluation of patients with consideration of developmental milestones. It identifies safety concerns in age-related populations and institutes appropriate measures, monitors cardiac dysrhythmia, and conducts new participant orientations. The role also involves documenting participant activities, progress, and patient education accurately and in a timely manner, utilizing appropriate resources for participant problems or unusual responses to exercise, cleaning and stocking the work area, and training new employees while offering assistance to less experienced employees. Other duties as assigned.
