About The Position

Our patients are our number one priority! We're committed to giving children back their childhood! This position provides PRN hours as needed for athletic training coverage at outside community events on behalf of the Sports Medicine Center. The Athletic Trainer will assist in the assessment and treatment of sport-related injuries at designated events, providing on-site care such as immediate first aid and evaluation of injury status. They will also refer athletes requiring additional medical or health care services to the appropriate resources.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in an accredited athletic training program or related field.
• License in the state of Texas.
• CPR required.

Nice To Haves

• 1-2 years of experience preferred.
• Board of Certification, Inc. (BOC) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide coverage for outside events on behalf of the Sports Medicine Center.
• Assist in the assessment and treatment of sport-related injuries at events designated by the Scottish Rite.
• Provide sports injury assessment at events, and on-site care of athletic injuries, such as immediate first aid and evaluation of injury status.
• Refer athletes requiring additional medical or health care services to the appropriate resources for such care (for example, the athlete’s primary care physician or nearest hospital).
