About The Position

Assist with diagnosis, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention of pediatric and adolescent sports injuries. This role promotes the Pediatric Sports Medicine practice by developing relationships with high school athletic trainers in the St. Louis region, including participation in high school sporting coverage. The position also involves coordinating outreach and education programs on pediatric and adolescent sports injuries, developing teaching materials for patients and families, and assisting the Pediatric Sports Physician in the Operating Room and with all aspects of clinical care, including diagnosis, preoperative education, surgery, postoperative follow-up, and rehabilitation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Athletic Trainers Certification (ATC) - National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA)
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
  • Basic Life Support - American Red Cross
  • Athletic Trainers Certification (ATC) from the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA).
  • Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date.
  • Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).
