About The Position

Western Illinois University is seeking an Athletic Trainer to provide athletic training/sports medicine services to NCAA student-athletes. This role involves injury and illness prevention, wellness promotion, examination, assessment and diagnosis, immediate and emergency care, therapeutic intervention, healthcare administration, and professional responsibility. The Athletic Trainer will provide services for practices and competitions, travel with sport teams, and document services provided. This position will work directly with football and baseball teams.

Requirements

Board Certified (BOC) Athletic Trainer
Eligible for State of Illinois athletic training licensure
Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or Master's Degree in Athletic Training
BLS CPR/AED Certification or eligible
Valid driver's license
Degree must be conferred from a regionally accredited degree-granting institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body).
Degree must be conferred at the time of appointment.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in Athletic Training
Previous experience working with baseball or upper extremity sports.
