Requirements

  • Competed and/or coached in your sport at a top academic university.
  • A genuine passion for mentoring teenagers.
  • A nuanced understanding of the high-academic recruiting process.
  • High character and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Deep experience in a specific sport (Fencing, Swimming, Squash, Track & Field, Men's Tennis, or other sports).

Responsibilities

  • Build mentoring relationships with athletes, supporting them as competitors and individuals.
  • Meet regularly with athletes via video (approximately one hour every 5 weeks for sophomores and younger, and every 3 weeks for juniors and seniors), with consistent communication via app and email between meetings.
  • Hold athletes accountable using tools such as training logs and competition reflections.
  • Analyze game film, provide constructive feedback, and assist athletes in creating a standout recruiting video.
  • Identify and recommend relevant camps, showcases, and events to connect athletes with college coaches.
  • Develop personalized recruiting plans for each athlete, setting realistic expectations.
  • Ensure athletes remain proactive throughout the recruitment process and take ownership of their journey.
  • Keep parents informed when necessary.
  • Support the Athletics Sales team with athlete evaluations and occasional consultations.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of Crimson Athletics as the division grows.
