Are you passionate about shaping future health care leaders and helping students discover their purpose? The College of Nursing and Health Care Professions at GCU is seeking an Athletic Preceptor on our main campus.

Requirements

  • A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of one year of Board of Training certification (please attach to application).
  • A current Arizona state athletic training license (please attach to application).
  • Successful completion of a drug screening.
  • Current staff member with managerial approval and salaried status (not hourly).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build supportive, professional relationships with students.

Responsibilities

  • Stay current with emerging trends, research, and best practices in your field of expertise.
  • Supervise and provide formal or informal instruction to athletic training students in clinical settings.
  • Test clinical proficiency on a weekly basis and submit proficiency grades promptly to the Athletic Training Education Program.
  • Verify that students are meeting required clinical hours for successful course completion.
  • Support program initiatives and demonstrate alignment with the University’s mission, philosophy, and long‑term direction.
  • Model professionalism and integrity by supporting GCU’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission.
