About The Position
Serves as the coordinator and facilitator of the school-level interscholastic athletic programs. Responsible for approving physical and academic eligibility. Combines and maintains files, reports and records as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Management or related field from an accredited university program.
- Previous experience in coaching, teaching or athletic administration.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all athletic programs, ensuring they align with the school’s mission and provide a positive experience for student-athletes.
- Develop and manage budgets for the athletic department.
- Coordinate and schedule all practices, games and team meetings.
- Hire, supervise, evaluate and provide support and professional development for coaches.
- Coordinate and maintain inventory for all sports and supports the needs and implementation of all school athletic events.
- Monitors attendance and academic progress of all athletes and prepares a list of athletic physicals and insurance for student eligibility.
- Organizes and manages ticket sales, scorekeepers, gym managers and other personnel needed during sporting events and assures facility preparation for athletic events.
- Responsible for enforcing all safety procedures.
- Responsible for recruiting, hiring and annual evaluation of all coaches.
- Ensure adherence to all rules and regulations issued by the school, district and athletic leagues.
