About The Position

Athletic Coordinator at Belen High School. This position is available for the 2026/2027 school year and requires 8 hours per day for 235 days.

Requirements

• New Mexico Public Education Athletic Coach License required
• Minimum of three years head coach experience with high school or middle school athletic programs required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred or in progress.
• Previous, verifiable, Athletic Coordinator experience preferred
• Administrative License preferred, or the ability to obtain the license

Responsibilities

• Build and articulate a vision with staff, students, parents and community in the area of athletics, student activities, and recreational activities.
• Demonstrate an understanding of technology’s application to athletic/activity operations and instruction.
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the New Mexico Activities Association and its procedures.
• Embrace and encourage diversity.
• Seek professional development in administrative leadership, management, and supervision.
• Perform essential job functions and job task requirements noted on the job description.
