About The Position

The Blinn College District is searching for a Full Time Athletic Assistant - Women's Soccer at our Brenham Campus. This role works closely with the Head Coach to teach and mentor young men and women involved in the Blinn athletic programs. The position involves assisting the coach(s) in practices, games, and events, with the ability to travel with the team and/or coaching staff for games, events, and recruitment. The assistant will also help supervise extra-curricular activities, compile sports information (statistics and reporting), and assist with promotions and marketing of the Blinn College athletic program. Maintaining athletic equipment and facilities, assisting with scouting and recruiting, and attending required meetings with the Athletic Director are also key responsibilities. Additionally, the role includes assisting in the supervision of the strength and conditioning program, monitoring team academics (study halls, classroom checks, academic progress reports), and assisting in the supervision of the College's residence halls and dining hall. Evening and weekend work is required, and adherence to all Blinn College policies and procedures, as well as NJCAA rules and regulations, is mandatory. Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • UEFA, United Soccer Coach or US Soccer License is required.
  • Goalkeeper license.
  • Experience assisting with assigned sport.
  • Ability to effectively motivate, teach, and supervise students.
  • Ability to maintain a professional relationship with students and peers.
  • Ability to fully comply with NJCAA rules and regulations.
  • Ability to fully comply with Blinn College policies and procedures.
  • Current Texas driver's license or ability to get one and per Blinn requirements, ability to drive on behalf of the college.
  • Reliable transportation to travel between worksites and complete job duties.

Responsibilities
