About The Position

The Athlete Development Coordinator plays a key role in executing key Athlete Development initiatives. This position reports to the Vice President of Athlete Development and supports the conception, development, social media reporting, administrative tasks and implementation of strategies that will enhance UFC’s reputation as the home of the world’s best athletes among key internal and external stakeholders. The role also contributes to the maintenance and development of the well-being of UFC athletes both inside and outside of competition.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Sports Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with a professional sports team, league or agency capacity.
  • Proven track record of working with athletes in a professional setting.
  • Excellent customer service attitude, experience and capacity.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Researches and develops innovative ways to ensure UFC athletes are on the cutting edge with regards to the competition process.
  • Comfortable with managing multiple projects at once, demonstrating excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidential information.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain a passport and travel both domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook and the ability to learn other basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Executing key Athlete Development initiatives.
  • Supporting the conception, development, social media reporting, administrative tasks and implementation of strategies that will enhance UFC’s reputation as the home of the world’s best athletes among key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinating the logistics of UFC athlete appearances, sponsorships, and activations.
  • Tracking and internally messaging UFC athlete appearances, sponsorships, and activations.
  • Preparing various communications to external and internal stakeholders, including proofreading of written materials to ensure professional and accurate documentation.
  • Maintaining tracking of current partner contracts and details, including ambassador program deliverables.
  • Contributing to the maintenance and development of the well-being of UFC athletes both inside and outside of competition.
  • Responsible for invoice submission, invoice tracking, invoice approval, prior to approval by Athlete Development VP/SVP.
  • Assisting with the management of assets for all UFC live events.
  • Serving as a liaison between UFC athletes, managers and UFC staff.
  • Performing other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned.
