Citi’s D1 Athlete Development Program is a virtual mentorship program supporting NCAA Division I student-athletes pursuing careers in financial services. Participants are paired with a Citi colleague who is a former student-athlete to receive professional development support and mentorship in navigating the finance industry. Participants will join business workshops, senior speaker sessions, networking opportunities, and technical trainings. We want to hear from you if you are… An undergraduate first-year or sophomore currently enrolled at an accredited U.S. institution Expected to graduate between Fall 2027 and Spring 2029 Currently playing or participating on a Division I collegiate sports team including athletes, team managers, and assistants Who we think will be a great fit… Students with a strong interest in financial services Students with high intellectual curiosity and willingness to embrace new challenges Team players eager to collaborate with Citi colleagues and new peers Self-starters ready to hone their professional and personal growth Students preparing to recruit for Summer 2027 and Summer 2028 internships Participant Expectations: Maintain active engagement with program mentors and the Early Career team throughout the Program Dedicate 2–3 hours per week to program activities, including group workshops, scheduled events, and one-on-one meetings with your assigned mentor Review all guided readings and monthly newsletters distributed by the Program Conduct independent research aligned with your professional interests and development goals All eligible student-athletes regardless of major/field of study including humanities, liberal arts, and STEM majors are encouraged to apply. Interested candidates must submit a resume to be considered. Applications are due Friday, May 1 at 9AM ET. Selected student-athletes will participate in the program from June – August 2026.
