New College Grad - ID1 ATE Photolithography Process Engineer

Micron Technology•Boise, ID
•Onsite

About The Position

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions. At Micron-Boise, ID, we are undergoing a historic $15 billion investment in semiconductor manufacturing. The Micron’s Boise High‑Volume Manufacturing (HVM) team is responsible for delivering stable, high‑yield semiconductor manufacturing to support Micron’s long‑term DRAM production strategy. The photolithography organization partners closely with operations, equipment engineering, and integration to maintain safe, efficient, and repeatable manufacturing. The Photolithography Process Engineer supports day‑to‑day health and capability of assigned, non‑critical lithography processes and tools. This role implements established control plans and standard work, monitors manufacturing signals, and supports issue resolution and continuous improvement activities with guidance from more experienced engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Foundational knowledge of lithography processes, photo materials, and defect mechanisms.
  • In-depth understanding and working knowledge of SPC and Design of Experiments
  • Ability to follow standard work, analyze data, and document results clearly.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts during training and onboarding.

Nice To Haves

  • Intermediate understanding of fab process areas, with preference for experience in photolithography equipment and supporting systems.
  • Familiarity with 365 nm, 248 nm, or 193 nm lithography materials and processes.
  • Experience with data analysis tools, statistics, or DOE methods.
  • Experience collaborating with operations or equipment engineering teams.
  • Experience using AI tools and utilizing in daily activities.

Responsibilities

  • Execute defined control plans, procedures, and standard work to sustain stable lithography manufacturing.
  • Monitor, analyze, and address SPC signals, defectivity issues, and process line down or tool downtime; partner with Process Owners to resolve recurring SPC excursions.
  • Support daily production priorities by working closely with shift operations and equipment engineering, including tool recovery and line stabilization.
  • Participate in excursion response activities, including containment, data collection, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and documentation.
  • Monitor and prioritize critical process key lots, including weekend on shift coverage, to prevent downstream read‑point delays.

Benefits

  • Choice of medical, dental and vision plans
  • Benefit programs that help protect your income if you are unable to work due to illness or injury
  • Paid family leave
  • Robust paid time-off program
  • Paid holidays
