About The Position

As an Asymmetric Threat Data Scientist, you will provide support to our government client and their respective Field Offices. You will focus on Financial Crimes, Human Smuggling, Human Trafficking, Contraband Smuggling, Terrorist Organizations and Transnational Criminal Networks. Duties include on a weekly basis, acquire, normalize, and automatically analyze ICE’s detention telephone data, which includes call records, video, test, and any other forms of electronic communications data. In addition, you will be required to triage, distill, and exploit said data, scrubbing it against classified and unclassified systems in search of potential national security and law enforcement objectives.

Requirements

  • Current Top Secret/Specialized Compartmented Information Security Clearance.
  • Expert level proficiency with and at least 5 years’ experience using the Python programing language.
  • Moderate level proficiency with and at least 3-year experience using Java and Groovy programing languages.
  • Expert level proficiency with and at least 3 years of experience using TensorFlow and at least 7 years of experience developing machine learning models which have been deployed in a production setting. (Solly academic and/or prototype experience does not qualify) OR Expert level proficiency with and at least 7 years’ experience performing Extract, Load and Transform (ETL) tasks using industry standard tools such as NiFi or Apache Spark.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience conducting data triage, exploitation, synthesis, and production of intelligence reports; to include information collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination of analytical products in support of criminal investigations, network exploitation, and targeting.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in data science related field (mathematics, statistics, operations research, engineering science, etc.) from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Skilled in data visualization and use of graphical applications, including Microsoft Office (Power BI) and Tableau.
  • Expert level proficiency with and at least 3-year experience using Java and Groovy programing languages.
  • Five (5) years of experience conducting data triage, exploitation, synthesis, and production of intelligence reports; to include information collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination of analytical products in support of criminal investigations, network exploitation, and targeting.

Responsibilities

  • Apply expertise by reviewing the results of the data exploitation, generate law enforcement operational leads and investigative referrals on unclassified and classified networks.
  • Through analysis of the data, identify and document previously unknown linkages of subjects in ERO detention facilities with criminal and/or terrorist subjects and conduct further network analysis.
