About The Position

Leverage advanced and specialized physics research expertise to test and analyze physical phenomena, conduct and shape R&D programs, and support intelligence community client challenges. Apply extensive technical expertise to support cutting-edge space missions. Use industry knowledge and contacts to develop solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction. Mentor and may supervise team members.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with applied research
  • Experience with research and development projects supporting the space industry
  • Knowledge of high-performance computing, cloud computing, or ML engineering
  • Ability to use astrodynamics algorithms or software packages in simulations
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • Doctorate degree in Physics or Astronautical Engineering

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of cloud services for a major provider (AWS, Google, or Microsoft)
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
