About The Position

The Department of Sport Management at the University of Florida (UF) invites applications and nominations for one, full-time, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position. This is a 9-month, tenure-track, on-campus appointment scheduled to begin August 16, 2027. The position requires candidates to pursue an innovative, rigorous research program; teach undergraduate and graduate courses; and provide department, college, and professional service. Expertise in sport law, risk management, policy, or organizational behavior is sought. The University of Florida is a highly ranked public university with a strong research culture, located in Gainesville, Florida.

Requirements

• An earned doctorate in sport management or related discipline is required by the start date.
• Ability or experience in conducting high-impact research.
• Ability or experience in publishing in top sport management journals.
• Ability or experience in seeking external funding to support scholarship.
• Passionate and enthusiastic toward student learning.
• Teaching and research expertise related to sport law, risk management or other related research area (e.g., policy, organizational behavior).
