About The Position

The Assurance Senior Associate will perform audit, review, or compilation procedures for clients. This role involves managing all engagement phases, including workpaper, financial statement, and report preparation. The associate will analyze trial balances, prepare complex financial statements using audit software, Word, and Excel, and reconcile accounting data with control accounts. Responsibilities also include conducting fraud interviews, reviewing staff work, preparing high-risk audit sections, drafting financial statements, and providing financial analysis post-fieldwork to improve client controls and procedures. The role requires collecting and analyzing client information to solve problems and meet deadlines, coordinating various activities to meet client needs within a specified time frame, and training and delegating tasks to staff. Fieldwork at client locations is necessary, as is networking, building relationships, and attracting new business. The associate will also attend training seminars, professional development, and networking events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (required).
  • 2-4 years of audit experience (required).
  • A valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or working towards obtaining CPA license (required).
  • Knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and can effectively share ideas and collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and using various software packages.
  • Willing to travel as needed for client engagements.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.
