About The Position

Eide Bailly is seeking an Assurance Senior Associate to join their team in Phoenix, AZ. This role involves leading client meetings, performing audit procedures, managing engagement phases, and preparing financial statements. The associate will analyze trial balances, reconcile accounting data, conduct fraud interviews, review staff work, and provide financial analysis post-fieldwork. The position also requires collecting and analyzing client information, coordinating activities to meet client needs, training staff, conducting fieldwork at client locations, and networking to attract new business. Attending training seminars, professional development, and networking events is also part of the role.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (required).
2-4 years of audit experience (required).
Knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles.
Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and can effectively share ideas and collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and using various software packages.
Willing to travel as needed for client engagements.
Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

A valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or working towards obtaining CPA license (preferred/required).

Responsibilities

Lead client meetings to establish engagement timelines, objectives, and expectations.
Perform audit, review, or compilation procedures for clients.
Manage all engagement phases, including workpaper, financial statement, and report preparation.
Analyze trial balances and prepare complex financial statements using audit software, Word, and Excel.
Reconcile accounting data with control accounts and conduct fraud interviews as needed.
Review staff work, prepare high-risk audit sections, and draft financial statements.
Provide financial analysis post-fieldwork to improve client controls and procedures.
Collect and analyze client information to solve problems and meet deadlines.
Coordinate various activities to meet client needs within a specified time frame.
Train and delegate tasks to staff based on availability and experience.
Conduct fieldwork at client locations as necessary.
Network, build relationships, and attract new business to the Firm.
Attend training seminars, professional development, and networking events.
