About The Position
Cohen & Co's internship program offers hands-on experience and enhances understanding of the professional services industry. This comprehensive internship provides the tools and training needed to launch a career, focusing on real client experience, technical knowledge, and the firm's 'Great People First' culture. Interns will build relationships with peers and firm leaders, engage in audit work, perform testing, assist with reporting, ensure compliance, and participate in firm-wide initiatives such as business development, recruitment, DEI efforts, and community service.
Requirements
- Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
- Accounting major
- Successfully completed introductory accounting course(s) and at least one intermediate accounting course before the internship program start date
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Pursuing required credit hours to sit for the CPA Exam
Responsibilities
- Get involved in real audit work
- Perform testing
- Assist with reporting
- Ensure compliance across various engagements
- Connect with peers, mentors and engagement teams through client work, firm events and internship program experiences
- Receive ongoing feedback to help sharpen technical skills and develop as a professional
- Jump into firm-wide initiatives like business development, recruitment, DEI efforts, and community service
